Fulfillment on Steroids

We've been talking about feeling fulfilled and you know how to find that. But now I want to talk to you about putting that fulfillment on steroids. I’ll explain to you how to do it. When you get excited about going to work, when you can find joy and fulfillment in what you're doing, it's simply amazing.
But if you're doing it by yourself, it wears on you a little bit. So, getting your team involved and helping them find what fulfills them will put that fulfillment on steroids. You can do this by finding a common purpose or a crusade. Go after something that protects people or makes their lives better in the community or something that you can all be aligned with and become passionate about. Make it something that lights everyone up, not just you. If you go in by yourself, people will inevitably suck the joy out of you. But when you are working with other people that are in it with you, that makes all the difference in the world. But what can you do to get your team on board?
1. Find something you can all be passionate about. Pick something that matters to everyone. Pick something that is important and will make a difference.
2. Connect and talk to your team. Find out what lights them up. Find out what would make them feel like a success. What would make them feel fulfilled? That makes all the difference in the world.
3. Put a plan together and I mean, put a plan together together. Make it a group function to collectively come up with the plan. Put something out there that will not only kills “same stuff, different day” mentality, but it also becomes a beacon that attracts other people to it and to your shop. That will be amazing.
Remember, you must come in filled with joy, filled with a sense of fulfillment. Then create that within your team. Don't stop with your fulfillment. Then, find a common purpose or crusade where your whole team can get behind it, where it gets them out of bed excited, where they're not falling or rolling out of bed, they're hopping out of bed in the morning. That's amazing.
And then connect with your team. Figure out what's important to them. And then put a plan together so that all of you are on board.
