Auto Repair Shop Owner's Daily Dose 68: Everything is Your Fault

Everything is Your Fault by Rick White, President 180BIZ

Today I want to give you a concept that's going to sound pretty harsh in the beginning. Everything is your fault. Please underline that. Know that to be true. If you didn't make the sale, it's not the customer's fault. It's not the customer's problem. It's your fault. If you don't have enough cars today, it's not the pandemic. It's not the virus. It's not the economy. It's not the president. It's not the Senate. It's not the weather. It's your fault. If your business is in a bad area, it's your fault. If you don't like your building, it's your fault. If you're behind on your bills, it's your fault. Because here is an amazing thing. If you can recognize that you are responsible, not blame, for everything that's going on in your life, you can change it.

If your marriage isn't doing great, it's your fault. It's not anybody else's fault. You are a self-made person, good or bad. If you'll remember earlier this week, I talked about the fact that it's not the events that are causing your life. It is your habits and reactions that are causing you to be where you're at. If you can recognize that you’re halfway there. Step back and say, “Wow, what do I need to do?”  Don't ask, “Why is it this way?” ask a better question. Ask, “How can I make this better? What can I do about it? How can I affect change? And never, ever, ever blame a customer or a potential customer. Always take responsibility for it. Recognize that everything is your fault.

I want to say thank you for being here. I appreciate you. I'm going to be honest here. When we first started doing these Daily Doses, we would have 30, 40, even 45 people in the room at one time. As of right now, it shows we have seven. Now I could think that people don't need it anymore. I could think that they don't need the reassurance anymore. When everything got started, people were really scared. But now they don't need the reinsurance. And it's my fault. The reason why we don't have the number of people in here that we did before is my fault.

And now I have to make a decision. I have to decide, do I continue doing this? And if I do, what should I do differently to reach more people? Or do I decide that take a break and go back to our Just One Thing once a week series? So, please, please, please share this video. And if you want me to talk about something, if you want a subject matter discussed or a thought train about something, please private message me on Facebook or email me [email protected]. I'm here to help and serve.

Thank you for being here and make it a great day. Go make a difference in somebody's life today. And then go make some money because it is time. Stop apologizing for making money. Go make a difference. Go make some money. God bless.
